The Fresno Food Bank sends a truck with food and staples to Grace Community Church every fourth Tuesday of the month. The food giveaway starts at 9:00 a.m. and continues until food is distributed. Families will be able to sign up and in and receive food for one or more families (determined by the number of families for whom that individual is picking up food). People are encouraged to bring their own cart or wagon to carry food, although boxes and student volunteers are available.
Volunteers are needed to help with the bagging and distributing of food. Interested volunteers should arrive at 8:00 a.m. The truck arrives around 8:30 a.m.
In 2013, Greace community Church gave away 175,840 pounds of food to our mountain residents. We fed 4,705 families for a total of 27,320 people.
